An indigenous Pharmaceutical Manufacturing firm based in Igando, Alimosho LGA of Lagos is expanding its production capacity, to meet with nationwide demand.
                  The Company requires the services of a PHARMACIST, to fit the role of Business Unit Manager, in its employ.
                  The Person MUST have 3-5 years considerable experience in Sales and Marketing of Pharmaceutical products in relevant Pharmaceutical Industry, of which 2-3 years must be at management level.
                  Job Description
                  As head of the business unit, the business unit manager markedly influences the corporation. Strategies applied on the unit level rely
                  on the three components of managerial style: personality traits, background characteristics and managerial behaviour.
                  Characteristics
                  As a business unit manager, you must be willing to take risks to drive the strategies and effectiveness of your unit. A background in the sales and marketing department in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus, as this background will help you develop skills in external industry analysis, which in turn makes your team more effective in delivering company objectives. Your leadership abilities and sales and marketing background must be coupled with direct knowledge of your functional area to ensure overall business unit success.
                  Function
                  In your role as business unit manager, you will develop and communicate vision and expectation levels to unit members. Your strategy must be reliant upon the strategic direction of corporate vision and company goals. You are tasked to empower, select, coach and retain qualified staff that contributes to unit and company goals. On a group scale, you integrate different team functions and ensure the highest quality performance through feedback and training and development. Coordinating with other managers and directors, you report and integrate policies and objectives.
                  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
                  1. Responsible for both of sales and marketing.
                  2. Prepare Monthly/weekly Sales report.
                  3. Provide strong leadership for sales and marketing teams to ensure the achievement of sales targets and expense control.
                  4. Ensure proper preparation of the marketing plans for designated product(s) in accordance with strategy and direction.
                  5. Ensure effective allocation for material plan implementation of resources.
                  6. Manage the inventory in accordance with agreed plans and policy.
                  7. Ensures proper implementation of the marketing plan by maximizing sales force measures as the best in relation to industry trends.
                  8. Control budget and expenses within business unit in order to ensure the profitability of same.
                  9. Recruit and coach staffs on professional knowledge and job-related skills
                  10. Set up KPIs to appraise staff’s performance
                  11. Set up and manage customer’s profile, develop potential customers
                  12. Follow up collections in coordination with Team
                  13. Join in making company strategy plans
                  14. Look for potential principals to widen business activities
                  15. On behalf of ASMs/NSM, meeting and negotiating with concerned parties
                  16. Cooperate with other departments to fulfil assigned tasks
                  17. Other duties as assigned.
                  Job Requirements
                  Required Experience: 3-5 year(s)
                  Desired Courses:
                  EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
                  1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is preferred.
                  2. Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience at a management level
                  3. Minimum 3 to 5 years Pharmaceuticals/FMCG industry experience
                  4. Experience in strategic planning and implementation, an
                  advantage.
