The Job
- overall responsible for the technical content of a project;
- accountable for the performance of the engineering team, including planning, allocation of workload to other members of the team, progress reporting and signaling resource requirements;
- lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team;
- define subcontracted work and managing progress and performance;
- create the structure that enables members of the team to excel;
- be in close contact to the client, monitor extra work out of scope.
Desired Skills and Experience
- B.sc/M.sc degree (i.e. Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture);
- 10 years of experience with engineering of offshore projects, whereof at least 5 years of experience in a coordinating or management engineering role;
- a generalist engineer that has extensive experience in Installation or Structural Engineering;
- excellent communication to members of the team, subcontractors, the project manager and the client;
- ability to structure projects; good planning & organising skills;
- commitment to the quality procedures of Jumbo;
- flexible, self-motivated and pro-active;
- keen and analytical;
- social team player with hands-on attitude;
- good management skills;
- customer oriented.
