Purpose of the Job:
Direct invigilation administration of school, IELTS, professional, university and other examinations according to exam board and Exams Quality Standards (EQS) in Cameroon;
– Provide support to the administration and implementation of other examinations
– Information provision and excellent customer service
– Administrative work for the office
The post holder should be able to deal with more complex information/enquiries, have excellent customer care, interpersonal skills, team working spirit and able to meet deadlines to a schedule. He or she should also be computer literate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To carry out registration of candidates and invigilate examination sessions professionally
2. To ensure that security and confidentiality is met for all exams run as per Quality Compliance Assessment (QCA) Standards
3. To adhere to the British Council Customer Service Excellence
4. To ensure rooms are set up and comfortable as per the QCA standards
5. Training and Development
6. Child Protection (Supervision of under 18/minors)
7. Be familiar with and follow all relevant standards & procedures, based on training and reference materials provided by the British Council and the relevant exams boards
8. Ensure that all test day invigilation standards and procedures are met.
9. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all test day materials at all times
Other important features or requirements of the job
Examinations work requires occasional (or sometimes regular) work outside conditioned hours, for example in the evenings or at weekends. Working hours will be based upon the start time and end of Exams – working week will run from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays
Qualifications and Experience
University Degree.
Good English skills in Listening, Reading and Speaking (minimum IELTS Band 6 or equivalent)
Customer Service and People skills
