Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical specialist who has solid deinstitutionalisation (DI) experience to apply their knowledge and skillset to develop/deliver DI training courses and provide technical DI advice to external stakeholders such as governments, civil society organisations or individuals. The incumbent will be instrumental in shaping the resources and tools used to train and support these external agencies with the support of the technical team within the Global Training & Advocacy Services team (GTAS). In addition, the DI Support Manager will lead the technical team within GTAS, overseeing the distribution of DI technical support/training activities and ensuring all materials are technically sound.
The ideal candidate will possess solid deinstitutionalisation experience or experience in areas related to DI such as health and social care, child protection, safeguarding and/or inclusive education etc. The incumbent must be at a senior technical level and has worked in an international context; DI experience in low-income countries and/or emergency contexts is desirable. It is essential that the incumbent has experience or exposure to designing and delivering training either internally or to external stakeholders. Further, it is essential that the incumbent has demonstrable experience in successfully managing a team, ideally a team of technical advisers.
