Top Deliverables
This position will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of production center to assure supply of all products to fulfil current and future demands as per plan at uncompromised safety, defined quality with continuously improved costs, agility and sustainability in the whole supply chain.
The jobholder is also responsible to define plant specific technology standards and concepts according to corporate guidelines. Responsible for the budgets of production, technical projects, optimizing asset values, facility management and availability of process technology as well as participation in development of the PC strategy with the implementation of a TPM.

Detailed Responsibilities

Safety, Health & Environment
Responsible for the compliance in his area of responsibility with standards, regulations and corporate guidelines concerning safety, health & environment.
Ensure tidiness and cleanness in his area.
Strongly committed in “zero accidents” program.
Force and control safety trainings and regular checks of safety installations.

Quality Management
In his area of responsibility, he ensures the compliance of the defined quality of the products in line with standards, regulations and corporate guidelines.
Support on implementation of quality systems in close contact with quality manager.
Define and sustain corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) due to quality deviations.
Force and control quality trainings and regular calibration of equipment.

Delivery & Service level
Support production plan development and insure corrective measures at plan deviations.
Create agility and drive improvements to meet service level and inventory targets.
Contribute to launch/relaunch activities.

Productivity

Production: The jobholder ensures, organizes and supervises an optimal production by best combining all production factors (technology, staff, processes) in order to guarantee an adequate market and product flexibility, defined product quality at lowest possible costs in line with given standards, regulations and corporate guidelines.

Maintenance: Responsible for the conditions and availability of the technical equipment. Implementation of maintenance systems to reduce unplanned downtime and minimize costs. Ensure qualification of technical employees.

Technical Standards & Procedures
Ensures the transfer of the BDF technology management approach and the continuous improvement in technology and process inside PC. Responsible for qualification of technical staff and functional steering of others employees fulfilling technical tasks outside his unit within the PC.
Facility Management:
Responsible for a reliable and cost optimized facility management, supply of energies and required facility conditions to the operations units.

Costs

Supply Chain Plan, Budget Responsibility
The incumbent has planning responsibility within the framework of corporate and local specifications and is responsible for the plan (for his area of responsibility) to the SC/PC Manager. The jobholder ensures that the objectives approved in the Supply Chain Plan regarding quality and quantities are fully met. He comments on variances using the existing reporting system. The incumbent is responsible for the timely preparation and passing on of monthly reports, quarterly and year-end statements and for financially optimizing her area of responsibility.
Company Strategy and Efficient Implementation of Strategic Goals:
As a member of the PC Nigeria management team, the incumbent co-defines and jointly executes the PC Nigeria strategy under supervision of the VP Supply chain and SC/PC Manager within the corporate guidelines. Ensure the operative implementation of guidelines and goals by the team.
Investments/Asset Management: Responsible for optimization of asset values of PC through a close steering of investments and best utilization of existing equipment. Supervise single investments in regards to verification, necessity, strategy alignment, evaluation versus depreciation and cost.
Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) and Cost Management:
Design and implement an improvement program, which includes processes for continuous and sustainable elimination of losses. Take care of effectiveness and coach employees to get efficient processes. Ensure efficient cost tracking and management.

Morale
Safeguarding of education and qualification of employees in his area.
Implementation of concepts to develop employees in cooperation with HR.
Enable and engage employees for promotion and development.

 

Candidate Requirements

Job Requirements
Graduate / Master degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial Production), or Business Administration
Min. 10 years relevant experience in production / supply chain at MNC preferably FMCG
Solid Production process knowledge in cosmetic /pharmaceutical, business general overview
Manufacturing experience in various areas or Projects
Capability to steer and experience in Technical Projects
Knowledge in MS Office and SAP (Production / PP / MM)
Excellent analytical, Communication and motivation skills
Structured and analytical thinking
Capability of cooperative and cross-functional teamwork
Capability and experience of leading teams
Strong skills in facilitating, problem solving and convincing others
English – business fluent
Strong leadership Skill and able Guide, motivate and develop subordinate staff.
