RwandAir Limited Vacancy for Accounts Payable Supervisor

RwandAir Limited is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda. As part of the expansion strategy we are looking for interested, qualified and competent candidates to fill the following position:

  1. Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor
  2. Reports to: Manager Payables
  3. Job Purpose

Perform accounting and Payable tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

4. Duties and Responsibilities

Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Prepare analysis of accounts payable and maintain updated aged payables
Monitor accounts to ensure payments records are up to date
Keep to detail and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain supplier/ vendor files and ensure accounting and reconciliation of all suppliers of the company
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Produce monthly reports
Assist with month end closing
provide supporting documentation for audits
Review all the supporting documents on invoices and adhere to standard procedures.
Creation of master Accounts Payable listing
Maintain the prepayment ledgers in the accounts
Review of fixed asset invoices and capturing them in AP
Monitor staff to prevent errors in the accounting system and report any deficiency
Keep payables’ records reconciled and communicate any error identified to your supervisor
Any other tasks assigned by the supervisors.

4. Desired Profile: Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance, Accounting
  • Part Qualified CPA, ACCA
  • Knowledge of accounts payable with 1-3 years working experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Proficient in data entry and management
  • Organizing and prioritizing
