About the role

The Village Savings and Loans Assistant will be the focal point for village savings and loans activities at the implementing location within the Local Government Area and will contribute to Christian Aid’s Humanitarian Response programme in Borno state. He/she will support assessments,  identify needs and opportunities in relation to IGA and other livelihood activities in implementing locations. The Village Savings and Loans Assistant is responsible for preparing activity reports in line with Christian Aid’s agreed timelines using appropriate templates.

About you

You must have a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship or Sociology  with a minimum of one year experience setting up and implementing livelihoods or income generating projects preferably with an NGO in a host community or IDP setting. You are required to have skills or training in basic book keeping or administration. Prior experience working with local governments and stakeholders in implementation of projects is required. You must have an understanding of business/enterprise development and development issues including Groups Savings and Loan approaches. Good communication skills (oral and written) is essential and ability to communicate in the local language is an added advantage.
