Main responsibilities include the supervision of all excavation, leveling, compacting and backfilling in the earthworks unit of the section in accordance with drawings and sketches.

Organize and co-ordinate all the asphalt operations of the project using a large crew of workers of various craft skills and levels.

Prepare the work schedule of each of his subordinates and their crews.

Check the conduct of work and monitor quality and ensure that safe working methods are employed at all times on site.

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years experience in roads and highways projects.

Acquainted with Cat equipment or similar equipment, including earth moving equipment, motor graders, loaders, excavators, motor scrapers, compactors etc.

Familiar with work materials and laboratory procedures.

Technical diploma or an engineering education is an advantage.

Good command of both oral and written English language.
