Overall Responsibilities
The Program Associate will function in a supportive capacity to a team of technical staff in the achievement of the objectives of the capacity build project.
The position holder will support MSH’s overall purpose of health systems strengthening for the achievement of improved health outcomes by supporting the program coordination role of the Capacity Building Program management team and efforts of the technical staff to achieve Program objectives.
Specific Responsibilities
The position holder will be responsible for updating the Program’s performance management system and flagging gaps. These are in addition to updating the Program’s electronic calendar of activities, soliciting and appropriately filing electronic copies of all activity reports from all project staff, participate in the compilation and editing of quarterly, semiannual and annual reports for timely review and submission. The position holder will also manage the consultants’ recruitment process including compiling and maintaining databases of consultants and partners and format all documents for external in line with the organization’s corporate branding templates.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from the social sciences or any other related discipline with relevant experience.
2. Minimum of 2 years significant experience working in a supporting role to teams in an organization.
3. Strong written and oral communication skills and very strong MS Office skills especially MS Access and Excel.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently as well as being a part of a team will be an add advantage.
5. Experience in working in a multi-racial office environment is essential with strong office management and organizational skills, competence in setting priorities and multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
6. The candidate must be highly creative, witty and able to undertake complex tasks with minimal support.
7. The position holder must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
8. Willingness and ability to travel within and outside Nigeria is essential.
