Responsibilities

  • Provide program and administrative support to the senior program officer and Executive director
  • Review and analyze information received from stakeholders in the conduct of surveys and key informant interviews etc
  • Conduct background research on issues related to Penal and justice system and distil key findings into written communications
  • Assist in planning, preparing for, and taking notes at meetings, conference calls, on-site training programs, and conferences; excellent work and personal organisation
  • Assist in stakeholder relations and communications including preparing reports to government partners and donors
  • Assist on other projects as assigned.

Qualification

  • A first degree in Law, criminology
  • A masters degree in  human rights, development studies, or law will be an added advantage
  • At least six years experience in project/programme management, working knowledge of the African and/or international human rights system and institutions and related litigation
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively and persuasively, and analyze/ summarize complex information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
