The Rabi, Toucan and Koula fields are located approximately 50 kilometers north of the Gamba field where we produce some 65,000 barrels of oil per day.
Job Description    Tanker Operations:
Execute tanker berthing and loading operations safely and within the Marine standards.
Ensure suitability of all tankers nominated for Gamba
Cargo Control and Documentation:
Complete all documentation related to tanker and loading operations .
Demurrage and Cargo claims:
Achieve minimum level of demurrage over which the Marine department has control.
Monitor cargo quantity and quality, reporting actual/potential issues to relevant parties and possible rectification measures.
Maintain Integrity:
Assist with maintenance planning and execution on SBM and Oil Spill equipment as well as other Navigational equipment.,
Provision of Marine Support:
Inspect Company owned and contracted vessels as required.
HSSE:
Plan and initiate Tier I response exercises as per HSE plan
Assist with Tier II/III response exercise as required.
Perform to assigned HSE Critical tasks listed in Logistics HSE case.
Requirements    Professional qualifications – Marine
Minimum STCW class III Certificate and 2 years experience on sea going vessels.
Depending on further qualifications this may require up to 12 months training on the job.
Candidates with higher qualifications or more relevant experience including Pilotage, would be invited as well. The required training on the job will decrease as prior experience increases.
Note that a strict competency assessment program will be implemented, without guarantee of success within the indicted period above
Additional Qualifications (preferred but not essential)
Where not in possession, these will be provided by company
Dangerous Cargo(Petroleum) endorsement.
Oil Spill Clearance training (IMO I minimum)
Port Facility Security officer
Other qualifications/competencies
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Good communicator and English speaking, reading and writing
Valid Driving License (class B)
