About the role
The Human Resource Officer leads in the effective and efficient management of Human Resource operations within the Humanitarian Response in Borno State by ensuring compliance with Christian Aid’s policies and procedures, maintaining high standards human resource practices including managing staff welfare, information management (both hard and soft copy), performance management etc. The role will be responsible for Volunteer management and documentation.
You must possess a university degree in a relevant discipline (Administration, Human Resources, Law) and must be a member of a professional body (CIPM, CIPD etc). You must have 2-3 years previous HR administrative experience particularly in an NGO. You must have strong IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office and databases management. You must have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel. Knowledge of managing databases and producing reports is essential.. You must be committed to code of conduct/ ethics of the HR profession. An understanding of data protection and the need for confidentiality. You must have excellent interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural environment, including tile ability to build relationships with colleagues at long distances
