Electrical Technician at a reputable oil and gas producing company

Our client, a reputable oil and gas producing company and an operator of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility offshore. Nigeria requires applications from suitably qualified and experienced. Candidate to fill the vacant position below:

Electrical Technician – (Ref: BA-07)

The right candidate, who must be citizens of Nigeria, must possess qualification and experience listed below candidates without the specific working experience on a FPSO or similar offshore facility need not apply.

Qualification Minimum:

HND/OND in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience in a FPSO or similar offshore facility
Must be computer literate

Position: Electrical Fitter

Qualification:

NAB TECH, OND (Electrical/Electronic Engineering)

Experience:

1-3 years and above experience in a good production company or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Industry

Age:

Not more than 25 – 32 years

Desirable Key Attributes: The preferred candidate:

Must have an understanding of logic control

Must have versatile in the maintenance and application of variable speed drives (Inverters)

Experience on packaging machines will be an advantage

Hands on experience on electrical panel building will be an added advantage

Attribute:

Preferred candidate

Must be a good team player

Must be physically/mentally fit

Must have good analytical and communication skill.

Must be able to interpret and use schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs,

Must be computer literate.

Must be ready to put in extra hours when the need be and observe shift work arrangement

Must be able to imbibe the Company’s CAN DO Values of Courage, Accountability, Networking, Drive and Oneness.

JOBS TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Job Location: Offshore, Oil Installation. FPSO

The position will report to Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. He will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and regular routine inspections of the electrical equipment of the facility. He frequently tests electrical emergency systems.

Specific Requirements:

v Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years Petrochemical experience.

v Plain maintenance will be an advantage.

v He should be aware of roles and responsibilities with regard to emergency response.
