<strong>Duties &#038; Responsibilities:</strong><br />
The Transport Officer will be responsible for following duties.<br />
- Improvise existing transportation solutions already being in force<br />
- Keep proper inventory of fall vehicles and perform daily checks on same.<br />
- Perform checks of all vehicles to ensure that they are in working condition.<br />
- Keep logs regarding the total distance which is traveled by the vehicles<br />
- Allot, monitor and over see all the responsibilities assigned to drivers, mechanics etc<br />
- Supervise drivers and ensure that resources are used to maximum productivity.<br />
- Prepare cost estimates of vehicle, spare parts, equipment and manpower.<br />
- Supervise the development and maintenance of the company’s transport safety policies, maintenance rules/regulations, and Motor Transport standard operating procedures (SOPs)<br />
- Supervise drivers’ tests and maintain all records of testing and license.<br />
- Advice on the serviceability of vehicular equipment in use and on the disposal of the equipment deemed unserviceable or beyond economical repair.<br />
- Oversee the preparation of technical reports, statistics and other documents required for vehicle establishment review, regular and ad hoc reporting requirements related to surface transport operations<br />
- Perform other duties as required.<br />
<strong>Qualifications </strong><br />
- HND in mechanical Engineering with minimum of 8 years cognate experience<br />
- Not more than 40 years<br />
- Hold a valid national driving license.<br />
