Description • Anticipate obstacles and develop innovative solutions to support business, public relations and government relations strategies
• Lead development and execution of plans for senior executive interactions with senior government officials
• Analyze, anticipate, understand and proactively react to political developments
• Establish develop and maintain effective corporate relationship with identified government and corporate stakeholders
• Build So Energy’s profile amongst governmental stakeholders
• Profile key stakeholders for effective engagement
• Initiate regular meetings with key government stakeholders
• Provide advisory support on key government stakeholders
• Undertake research and provide detailed policy analysis
• Provide regular feedback to business on developments (bills, new policies within the legislative/regulatory arena)
• Assist in coordinating lobby campaigns on identified issues
• Coordinate action /response plans to pertinent issues
• Provide periodic intelligence reports, political audits and proactive feedback on emerging issues, developments and trends
• Develop and maintain a strong ethical relationship between So Energy and the relevant bodies with a view to ensuring the long term viability of the business
Additional Information • A relevant bachelor’s degree with minimum of four years work experience in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3 years in government relations/Stakeholder engagement or legislative affairs.
• Experience in legislative or regulatory policy background in corporate governance
