Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Nigeria Office is seeking for junior professionals to serve for the nation and the world through the agency.

JOB TITLE: IN-HOUSE CONSULTANT
SECTORS: WATER, ELECTRIC POWER, INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING
LOCATION: ABUJA
DURATION: ONE YEAR EXTENDABLE (THREE YEARS MAXIMUM)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: CONSULTANCY

In Nigeria, JICA has been working on promotion of rural water access, science and mathematics education, rural electrification, gender equality and maternal child health.

As it is expanding country program, JICA Nigeria office requires professionals to manage the programs in water, economic infrastructure, and power sectors.

1. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help in formulating new projects
• Help in implementing projects
• Help coordination with Nigerian authorities as an owner of projects
• Help coordination with other stakeholders such as civil society, development partners
• Help monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects

2. QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge on targeted sector
- Rural Water Supply, Water Resources Management
- Electric Power, Renewable Energy, Rural Electrification
- Infrastructure Planning
• Working Experiences: More than 3 years in relevant field
• Academics Background: Over undergraduate in relevant field
• Accountability and Responsibility
• Ability on report writing in English as an international language
• Communication skills
• Sympathy with JICA’s Vision, Missions and Principles

3. REMUNERATION
Costs for post basis in accordance with JICA Nigeria office scale
Present staff rather working for job satisfaction than remuneration
