Job description
As part of the management team, you main assignment will be to pilot the ICT department’s strategic and operational planning that serves the group’s strategic plans, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. Reporting directly to the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating user needs and system functionality,
- Ensuring that ICT facilities meet the needs of individuals and projects,
- Planning, developing and implementing the ICT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness,
- Ensuring the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision,
- Mentoring and training new ICT support staff,
- Where necessary, re-engineers applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision without compromising sustainability,
- Guides the development of IT related service agreements and vendor contracts.
- Defines and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department heads, support staff, and end users,
- Oversees provision of end-user services, including training on hardware & software use (initial and on-going), help desk and technical support services.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in information technology or a B. Sc Computer science/software engineering, Accounting or Information Sciences,
- Successfully completed the Microsoft Certified Professional Program,
- 10-15 years experience in a multinational environment, with 7 years in a leadership position,
- A wide range of experience in hardware, operating systems, communication platforms, software, and system development,
- The ability to manage a team of individuals, each a specialist in their own area; knowledge of people management issues will be useful,
- The ability to work with people at all levels in an organization,
- The ability to contribute to and implement organizational strategy.
