Job Description

This position is responsible for timely preparation of outside plant work orders in accordance with company objectives and policies to provide the highest quality service at the lowest possible cost. Prepares outside plant work orders which include detailed construction drawings, pricing data sheets, material and labor specifications, engineering design, permits, cutover sequence, transmission design and facility exhaust information. Performs engineering analysis of outside plant distribution facilities through records review and meeting with internal and external sources. Initiates work order activities to ensure that plant margins are adequate to meet customer service requirements. Secure and record right-of-way and easements associated with outside plant work orders. Monitor work order expenditures and recommend corrective action where necessary to ensure that approved budget levels are not exceeded.
Required Skills

Good organizational skills, ability to work on both team and individual projects, and ability to prioritize tasks to meet goal

Proficiency with : IDDS, ICGS Web, vBuild and AAIS

Desired skills : Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and familar with outside plant construction methods
Required Experience

2 to 5 years of Outside Plant telephony experience
