Job Description
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in our accounting system
Assist Financial Controller to ensure that the company’s statutory obligations are met
Work with the Financial Controller to prepare monthly financial statements
Maintain General Ledger
Maintain Accounts Payable to ensure all bills are properly coded, recorded and paid when due
Maintain Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate recording and receipt of revenue
Ensure all withholding taxes are correctly deducted from suppliers’ payments and payment made to IRS within stipulated time frame
Assist Financial Controller meet the company’s statutory obligations with respect to taxation, social security, VAT and company returns to the Registrar of Companies
Reconcile office cash
Assist Controller with the annual audit
Ensure company’s data entry is constantly kept up-to-date
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation
Maintain proper filing system of all accounting documents in an orderly and systematic manner to facilitate reference and retrieval
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Financial Controller
The successful candidate must be willing to work in both Accra and Akosombo offices

Required Skills or Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience within the field of accounting
Must have minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting PLUS a professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, etc
Experience with Accounting software such as Quickbooks would be an advantage
