Senior Program Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation – Locations: Enugu/ Abuja/ Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Will lead efforts to enhance program and funding effectiveness of PRAWA and justice institutions it serves
  • Develop or facilitate the development of the overall M&E framework for projects including annual project reviews, participatory impact assessments, process monitoring, operations monitoring and lessons-learned workshops
  • Design of evaluation methodology, participatory data collection methods  and protocols, key indicators for each project component,   and data verification  techniques
  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building in design of both quantitative and qualitative evaluations, designing performance monitoring systems and data management system for improving service delivery of partner institutions
  • Facilitate the design, development and production of all assessments, analytical reports and evaluations
  • Contribute to proposal development through technical writing and participating in proposal development meetings

Qualifications

  • First degree in social sciences, IT; masters in M&E, development economics or international development is desirable
  • Academic training and minimum six years experience in program monitoring and evaluation, including qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Training and practical experience using SPSS and other Data analysis tool is strongly preferred
  • Should have working knowledge of research, policy development and analysis, programme development and project management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Mastery of the use of excel for data collection, analysis and reporting is a must
  • Proficiency in design and maintaining Oracle databases or any other database application is a plus
