FIELD ENG GEN – DRS ( Job Number: 1205771)
Role Synopsis
This position is responsible supervising and leading well site directional drilling service delivery of current and future projects in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
· Supervises rig site Directional drilling service delivery.
· Oversees implementation of GeoMarket well site execution strategy.
· Excellent knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
· Supports and understands the LEAD program and it’s guidelines,
· Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the Baker Hughes Directional Drilling tools and/or service.
· Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers. Provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities.
· Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party well site colleagues as appropriate
· Executes other related duties as assigned.
· Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
· Communicates with company’s Local Operations, Legal, tax, HSE, quality and finance representatives to identify various project-related risks or concerns.
· Coaches and mentors more junior Directional Driller FSEs.
· Works closely with legal on commercial issues.
Basic Qualifications
· Minimum of College qualification or equivalent in allied sciences essential
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and related allied sciences preferred)
· 5+ years’ experience in an oilfield drilling and completions operations environment
Desired/Preferred Knowledge and Skills
· Strong knowledge of Baker Hughes Directional Drilling tools.
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Ability to lead small to mid-size groups and mentor others.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Proven negotiating skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
· Thorough knowledge of multiple product offerings.
· Proficient in the use of PC’s
· Experience with Baker Hughes Advantage Engineering and Well Architect software will be an added advantage.
