The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking to employ suitable and qualified candidates for the Chauffeur position in the Embassy.
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent carefully and responsibly drives an official vehicle to various locations in Abuja, and on occasion, to other cities in Nigeria.
Also drives staff to various locations to include ministries, embassies, and businesses. Delivers invitations for official functions. Other responsibilities include daily preventative maintenance and reporting defects and malfunctions to supervisor for repair.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants are instructed to address each selection criterion detailed below with specific an d comprehensive information supporting each criterion.
1.Completion of Secondary School is required.
2.Minimum of two to three years Chauffeur experience is required.
3.Level III (good working knowledge) Speaking /Reading/Writing in English is
required.
4.Thorough knowledge of the local traffic laws, patterns and locations of various
government offices in and around Abuja, central and northern Nigeria is required.
5.Must have professional Class E driving license.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status
in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period
are not eligible to apply.
3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs
Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are
not eligible to apply.
