Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of the ECOWAS Regional Cultural Programme and Plan of Action;
Facilitate Cultural Exchanges;
Promote Cultural Industries and Copyright Protection;
Liaise with research Institutions and carry out exchange of information, documentation and establish community networks and data bank;
Collect and analyze date;
Disseminate information to partners and stakeholders including civil society organizations;
Coordinate and follow up cooperation with bilateral and multilateral partners;
Prepare the meetings (write reports and memoranda);
Any other duty assigned by the President of ECOWAS Commission or any officer designated by him.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Educational Qualification
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences or related field.
A higher degree in the relevant field may substitute for two years of professional experience
Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in similar roles, including two years supervisory experience in a permanent or acting capacity
Excellent flare and aptitude for technical report writing.
Age
Candidate should not be 50 years old or over at the point of recruitment and must be a citizen of one of the ECOWAS member states.

Language
Must be fluent in one of the official languages of the Commission; English, French and Portuguese. A working knowledge of another would be an advantage.
