PWC Nigeria Recruits Manager, Capital Projects & Infrastructure – Commercial and Financial Diagnostics

CP&I Team
The PwC West Africa Capital Projects & Infrastructure (CP&I) Advisory practice is extremely active in the marketplace and is looking to expand its execution team with leaders and experienced managers.
The West Africa CP&I team is primarily based in our Nigeria offices.
The Role
Broad experience with / understanding of commercial and financial diagnostics of projects and companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Structure, coordinate and execute CP&I engagements including but not limited to:
– Commercial and financial due diligence for projects and companies
– Optimizing project / asset performance i.e. diagnostics and operational improvement assessments
– Project and programme assurance including risk analysis and budget monitoring
– Internal value engineering and review of control framework
– Business model validation / review to operationalize delivered asset
– Procurement, contracting, and negotiation support
• Drive process efficiency and effectiveness on client projects
• Support implementation of business processes and set up of fit-for-purpose finance function
• Drive preparation of project dashboard and other client-ready deliverables (status reports, diagnostics reports etc)
• Assembling / drafting of deliverables in CP&I executions
• Build and nurture client relationships / leverage personal & professional networks
• Develop and manage CP&I solutions while keeping up to date with technical industry development
• Responsible for industry / market monitoring, including regularly creating pieces on that outline industry structures, key trends / market dynamics, established & upcoming players, potential opportunities etc.
• Managing and developing junior resources in the CP&I origination and execution processes
Professional Background / Qualities
• ≥ 6 years relevant work experience
• You must have a track record of advising on projects (e.g. commercial / operational reviews)
Experience in financial analysis and commercial due diligence – Audit experience is significantly advantageous
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field
• Master’s degree in Business or Finance related field is a plus
• Systems thinking, process efficiency or continuous improvement experience highly desired
• Fluency in the English language is required. Understanding of French and Portuguese is advantageous
• Good report writing skills
• Must show ability to build strong relationships based on trust
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid supervisory and team development skills
