Brief Description
The mission is effective governance and execution of Capital Projects to Project Management methodologies and manages to excellence within budget, resources and to the satisfaction of Business Objectives and Strategic Intent of MTNA.
Detailed Description
Key Tasks:
· Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
· Arrange for Capex steercom meetings for budget and spending approvals and present capex update
· Set up, manage and governance of all Capital Projects and assets as well as tracking and reporting of CAPEX spend related to Network rollout, IS build, Facilities and other assigned Capital Projects
· Ensure executive team are informed and empowered to manage CAPEX within their divisions
· Ensure organization is well positioned with market analysts as well as within MTN Group as far as responsible expenditure and investment
· Guide investment plan and capital expenditure in line with Strategic Plan
· Ensure Network rollout and other Capital Projects against agreed targets and quality expectations
· Champion program management within MTNA and Facilitate accurate asset register for MTNA by effective management and reporting on assets
· Guide and influence the longer term financial view of the organization by providing input into overall business planning
· Lead procurement and logistics ensuring adequate financial controls are in place to protect assets and capital expenditure
· Ensure compliance to all fiscal and regulatory parameters for capital expenditure
· Ensure and lead the efficient use of people and capital
· Provide high level leadership, direction and team spirit to subordinates
· Develop and in place Organizational Structure, PPP’s and appropriate goal settings to achieve divisional strategy
· Guide and influence the longer term financial view of the organization provide input into the overall business planning
· Work collaboratively to provide the capital expenditure budget for each division and report on actual versus planned spend. Provide the limits and alert to overspend.
· Lead and manage all build projects within MTNA and Plans for future projects and Motivate for extra allocation of CAPEX looking into business need
Supervisory:
· Direct and monitor work of subordinates
· Ensure the team is led; motivated and rewarded to achieve key performance areas
· Guide and direct vendors and third parties in achieving MTNA objectives
· Manage the performance and deliverables of direct and indirect reports to ensure that the objectives of the department are achieved
· Possess the authority; presence and integrity to command respect from colleagues and from external contacts
· Provide clear direction and communicate the implication and interdependencies of each functional unit
· Provide clear direction and manage performance of the team
· Recruit staff for appointments
· Set goals for direct reports; monitor progress and maintain motivation
· Set up appropriate structure to meet departmental management objectives and Transfer skills to ensure staff development; motivation and business continuity

Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor degree in Engineering
MBA major in Project management
Experience:
15 years in Telecom Project management
Training:
GSM
High technical training and awareness in the best implementation of the projects
