Job Purpose
As a Procurement Manager you’ll use your proven procurement skills to manage a portfolio of projects across the group.
Strategic buying is key, as is the ability to develop strong senior-level relationships within the business and to front up negotiations and appoint suppliers to provide goods and services for the group airlines, in addition to maximising existing supplier relationships to achieve the best value for IAG and the Companies in the Group. Using our well established strategic sourcing methodology and e-procurement tools you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of projects in your particular category.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Negotiating with suppliers and building strong relationships to effectively manage the strategic sourcing/buying process and associated controls for up to £100m of annual expenditure for a given category
  • Assessing TCO, achieving maximum value for money plus ensuring colleagues throughout the organisation buy into and adhere to strategic sourcing
  • Develop and deliver sourcing strategies across the total supply base for all spend within a given category working with colleagues and internal clients
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of Procurement’s objectives
  • Deliver appropriate supplier agreements for all goods and services for given areas of responsibility to meet external spend targets and service & performance levels
  • Deliver cost reduction in line with external spend targets
  • Ensure that all procurement activity in given category conforms to best practice and governance principles/processes
  • Identify corporate accountabilities, e.g. own specified key supplier relationship
  • Actively look for savings or value adding opportunities for the group, challenging the status quo

Key Interfaces

  • Working flexibly across IAG and the Companies in the Group to deliver cross-functional projects
  • Procurement and line stakeholders across Marketing, Catering and Inflight Product within all IAG group companies
