Reservoir Simulation Engineer

Position Responsibilities

Lead Reservoir Engineer of a major producing asset, providing Reservoir Engineer inputs to value creation and realization processes.
• Manage Reservoir Engineering data for assets.
. Directly responsible for defining and implementing Well & Reservoir Management strategies, surveillance, pressure prediction, forecasting, field modelling (including full field simulation where appropriate), recovery assessments, etc.
• Coordinate other projects as assigned from time to time in role as Opportunity Development Lead, ODL.
• Contribute to Field Development Plans, Asset Reference Plans, Business Planning, mid and long term Production Forecasting.
• Member of Well Delivery Team: provide Reservoir Engineer input to scoping of new locations and detailed definition of selected locations.
• Ensure that reserves estimates for assets are in accordance with guidelines and Group requirements
• Coach graduate engineers assigned to producing asset team, ensuring rapid development of local staff.
• Coach and develop junior Reservoir Engineer staff in assets.

Real Estate Building Projects Advisor

Purpose

  • Preparation of potential small-medium sized building and infrastructure projects
  • Supervision of an ongoing programme of outsourced minor project work including HSE, quality, time and cost performance.
    Delivery of standard management and assurance for individual projects

Position Responsibilities

  • Work with the Hard Services Manager, liaising with the local business where appropriate to identify project requirements
  • Compile and maintain a programme of potential and actual projects, tracking progress through the project cycle
  • Liaison with Real Estate ‘Transactions & Projects’ function to arrange and satisfy appropriate governance and assurance for each project
  • Make arrangements with appointed project contractors for the management, administration and delivery of project HSE, quality, timeline and cost
  • Support the handover of project work to facility operations and maintenance including asset identification and maintenance planning
  • Liaison with SME’s for workplace and accommodation standards where appropriate (including Shell Connect and ‘Worker Welfare’)
  • Prepare building-related contract board submissions, including cost estimates and execution plans.
  • Support project procurement decision making
  • Measure service provider performance against set targets where applicable.
  • Oversee the preparation and handover of key documents including asset registers, as-built, layout drawings, schematics, diagrams, work process descriptions etc

Position Qualifications/Experience

  • University graduate with a minimum of BAC+3 in Engineering, Sciences and Social Sciences
  • Minimum of three (3) years proven experience of project planning, execution and controls within the facility management environment
  • Work experience in financial institutions
  • Fluency in French an advantage.

  • Act as company’s representative in external negotiations with private stakeholders (Joint venture -JV partners/third parties) and the state
  • Provide legal and local tax advice to Shell Gabon with a view to further business objectives, secure its position and protect shareholders interests
  • Be involved in external bodies (UPEAGA – Oil industry association in Gabon
  • Provide support to Global litigation for any claims by or against Shell Gabon
  • Implementation of compliance programmes with legislation and safeguard reputation
  • Provide fit for purpose legal advice to the company to ensure its compliance with contractual obligations towards the state or partners so that required approvals from them are secured

Gamba / Rabi Airport Radio Operator

  • To ensure all aircraft operating to and from Gamba & Rabi Airports are provided with effective Advisory Flight Information Service that includes accurate observations on local weather conditions, runway status/information and local area traffic information to ensure that all visiting aircraft operate safely in accordance with the local Gamba Airport procedures
  • Ensure airport control tower is manned, radio watch is maintained, information is provided to flight crews, during published airport operating hours and standby system is in place, outside these hours
  • Supervise all ground operations, passenger control, Check-in, manifest preparation, weight and balance calculationa, secuirty and facility maintenance
  • Monitor and recommend improvements to airport operations and ensure that safety of operation or person(s) is not compromised
  • Monitor all equipment at the airport tower and report any defects, or suspected defect to responsible departments for rectification / follow up
  • Be availabe “on- call” for duty outside of published airport operating hours
  • Comply with Shell Gabon Radio Operator procedures and Emergency response procedures
  • Alert rescue and fire fighting services available in the area of responsibility as defined under local procedures and whenever:An aircraft accident occurs within the area of responsibility,Information is received that the safety of an aircraft may have been impaired, When requested by the Flight Crew
