Eni Ghana Exploration & Production Recruits Junior Exploration Geophysicist

Job Purposes:
To support hydrocarbon exploration or development projects by providing reconstructions of subsurface reservoirs or features of potential interest for exploration by
means of geophysical data integrated with geological data.

Job Activities:

  • To interpret geophysical data such as seismic 2D profiles, 3D volumes, well data, potential data and maps, and develop possible subsurface geophysical and geological models that match the observed data.
  • To integrate the geophysical and geological models in order to reconstruct the structural and stratigraphic features of the area, identifying and evaluating exploration plays, leads and prospects, or contributing to the characterisation of discovered reservoirs.

Required Skills or Experience

 Degree (Msc) from a university or graduate college (Polytechnic, Mining Institute,…) giving extensive knowledge in the earth science subjects.

  • Specialisation or University course addressed to Exploration Geophysics disciplines is appreciated.

Technical skills

  • To be familiar with rock properties and fundamental physical principles at the base of the geophysical methods used in the O&G industry (seismics, gravimetry, magnetics, electromagnetics). To be familiar with basic principles of petroleum geology.
  • To have a key knowledge of seismic field acquisition operations and data processing, and seismic and non-seismic interpretation techniques, in order to create geophysical models of the subsurface.
