Job description

Reporting to Advisory Board and Family Members, the CEO to provide strategic and visionary leadership and is responsible for the overall performance and organizational effectiveness in carrying out its mission. This position provides guidance, advice, and counsel to Family members regarding key strategic, policy, and legislative issues, and Oversee company operations to insure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

 Responsibilities

  • Present company report at family members, Annual Stockholder and Board of Director meetings.
  • Recommends yearly budget for family members approval and prudently manages organization’s resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
  • Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.
  • Provides support to the Board and the family members on key strategic, policy, and legislative issues; serves as the leader of the Executive Leadership Team, identifies key challenges, risks, and opportunities; engages the Board of Directors in collaborative development of solutions.
  • Manages the current and trending conditions of programs, including financial, construction, and operations; develops innovative approaches, as well as effective and responsive solutions to transit funding challenges.
  • Works with family members to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.
  • Build a fundraising network using personal contacts, direct mail, special events, and foundation support.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Leading, motivating and influencing staff using superior interpersonal and management techniques and demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to working with diverse work groups and individuals.
  • Experience working in or with large family business as CEO, COO or CFO is highly desirable..
  • Be a strong leader of change across all aspects of an organization.
  • Completion of a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and 15-20 years of experience in a leadership role for a large Family Owned Business and Conglomerates.
  • Knowledge of economic, political, social, environmental, and psychological factors related to the provision and use of public transit.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions  .
