Human Resource Manager At Africa World Airlines

Job Purpose:

The HR Manager is directly responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, leading human resource programmes and practices, managing departmental employees and reporting to the Head, Human Resources.

KEY ACCOUNT-ABILITIES
Key Account-abilities/Responsibility

§  Carry out management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending Human Resource policies and procedures.

§  Maintain the organisational work structure by updating job requirements and job description for all positions

§  Carry out the Company’s staffing plan by following the recruitment policy; educating managers on candidate selection and conducting interviews

§  Conduct induction, orientation or training programmes

§  Maintain the pay structure by conducting biennial pay surveys; yearly job evaluations, implementing pay structure revisions and preparing pay budgets.

§  Carry out the performance management policy of the Company by training managers, ensuring each employee achieves expected work output

§   Schedule management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, counselling employees and managers

§  Maintain employee benefit programme by studying and assessing benefit trends and needs, recommend changes to management; direct the processing of benefit claims, obtain and evaluate benefit bids, award benefit contracts,  design and conduct educational programmes on benefit programmes

§  Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Ghana Labour laws regarding human resources. Follow due process, maintain records and represent the Company at hearings.

§  Keep and maintain human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system for both past and present records.

§  Perform other incidental duties and related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills / Abilities)

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in HR management, hiring, benefit Administration, performance management, communication processes, compensation and wage structure and Ghana Labour Laws.
  • Demonstrate presentation skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, leadership skills and financial management skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Qualification & Experience

  • MBA, Human Resource Management
  • Min 2 years’ experience as HR Manager and at least 7 years’ experience in the HR field.
  • Experience in working with senior management is a plus
