Relevant procurement experience
4-5 years relevant experience.
Required to make decisions on prices, delivery, terms and sources of supply in accordance with the specified rules.
Purchases goods, machinery, equipment, raw material and/or other suppliers either for consumption in own organization or for resale to the trade.


Knowledge of relevant global supply markets.
Expertise in manufacturing processes or regulatory requirements.
Involving people in issues that affect them. Facilitating dialogue between team members so they understand the links between their different ideas and perspectives. Bringing team members into the discussion so they can contribute their ideas.
Gaining the buy-in of others by showing the advantages, benefits and features of own solutions and ideas.
Seeking to raise levels of performance by establishing an improvement process, or setting specific, measurable targets and goals linked to GSK business needs.
Project and Change management experience
Taking a one-off, specific action to raise value to customers by meeting a specific customer request or solving an immediate customer problem. Good verbal and written communication skills


Partner and align with the end to end supply chain to define business requirements for a world class supply base for provision of high quality goods and services.
Strategy Development
• Assist in the development, management and implementation of comprehensive strategies on a global basis in alignment with GSK and Procurement to deliver agreed savings targets and other benefits that significantly impact GSK financial results.
• Assist in the development of  supply strategies that deliver business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost and inovation
• Participate in cross functional sourcing teams with joint accountability for technical and quality performance through stategy development and implementation at global, regional or local level.
Strategy Implementation
• Implement initiatives and programs to improve quality of bought-in goods and services and reduce lead times
Supplier Relationship Management
• Assit in the development and management the supply base for external GMS end to end supply chain providing supply of high quality and competitively priced materials and services, to meet GSK requirements.
• Assit in the development of strategic relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost effective sources for relevant commodities.
• Particiapte in the development of Continuous Improvement strategy for supply base employing lean and sigma approach including PUCC and DFM.
Risk Management
• Development of Risk Mitigation strategies to ensure security of supply.
• Implementation of risk management strategies for the mitigation of risk associated with goods and services in assigned area of responsibility.
Stateholder engagement
• Represent the category on relevant strategy development and supply chain planning forums
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; agree RACIs and business requirements
General
• Resolution of second touch issues regarding supply escalated from site (s)
• Ensure regulatory compliance through the appropriate strategy creation.
• Provide best in class cost
• Sharing of best practice across category team and Production Procurement
• Continuous improvement of process and performance within category team and related supply base
Other European locations may be considered (including Ware, Barnard Castle, Evreux & Poznan)
