We are looking for a Finance Manager for our Rig Team in Accra, Ghana who will be responsible for performance reporting and support to the Rig Team with financial information and cost analysis.

As Finance Manager in Accra, you will lead a team of 2 finance professionals. You will report to the Finance Department in Copenhagen and thereby be part of the strong global Finance team in Maersk Drilling. At the same time, you will be part of the management team in Accra, working closely with the Unit Director and the rig team. Key Responsibilities
You will be overall responsible for local finance, accounting and payroll and have responsibility for:

• Monthly billing of customers including internal and third party recharges

• Monthly preparation of Financial Reporting and Management Reporting

• Management of net working capital and payment handling

• A sound control environment and follow up on internal and external audits

• Driving cost awareness throughout the Rig Team and providing feedback on financial performance to rig personnel

• Preparation and compiling of quarterly rolling forecasts and yearly statutory accounts

Further, you will be liaising with Group functions to ensure the correct application of Ghanaian tax and treasury legislation, just as you coordinate the drafting and filing of Ghanaian tax compliance and tax reporting. Finally, you will also handle external communication with public authorities and other stakeholders.
Who we are looking for
You have at least 5 years’ experience in a Finance Management and Accounting area combined with relevant education. This has given you excellent financial and analytical skills that you can transform into concrete initiatives improving the results.

You are a skilled Excel user and have the ability to acquire solid skills in corporate and local system applications. You are fluent in English with good communication and negotiation skills. Furthermore, you are a team player and possess strong relationship building skills.

You are self-confident, able to work under high pressure, and strongly committed to meeting deadlines. You are a very self-disciplined person, who pays close personal attention to detail. High integrity and personal credibility are also some of your key traits.

Finally, you enjoy taking full responsibility and ownership and to work closely with the business to achieve common goals while always seeking to challenge, optimize and improve.
