About the role

To be responsible for facilitating implementation of Sengabay Climate Change Adaptation Project interventions that aim at improving the crop production, enhance income generation, and improve access to portable water and markets for their produce.

 

. Specifically the PA will be responsible for:

  1. Conduct the implementation and monitoring of all activities, at field level, as laid out in the plan of action.
  2. Organize and support running of livelihoods activities in the implementation area.
  3. Manage the effective and proper use of assets, financial resources and facilities according to standard procedures in order to comply with auditing requirements.
  4. Make field arrangements for planned visits to project locations
  5. Assist Programme Officer in the preparation of all documents and forms necessary for the implementation of the livelihoods project.

About you

Candidates applying for this role should have the following

  • A minimum of Diploma in Agricultural or its equivalent from a recognized colleges; those with experience in irrigation will have an added advantage
  • Experience in building irrigation, developing cooperatives, managing nutrition programmes and pest controls
  • Have an understanding of gender issues in development and demonstrable commitment to promoting gender equity within the organization and in programme work.
