RwandAir Limited is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda. It operates domestic and international services to East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa and the Middle East from its main base at Kigali International Airport. As part of the expansion strategy we are looking for interested, qualified and competent candidates to fill the following position:

1. Job Title: Finance Officer
2. Reports to: Manager Payables
3. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department, policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with RwandAir Rules and Regulations
  • Ensure that all invoices are checked and signed by the user department and have all supporting documents before being captured Ensure the invoices errors are corrected before capturing
  • Ensure the invoices errors are corrected before capturing
  • Ensure that all invoices are processed through payable module and set up for payment
  • Ensure the accurate capturing of invoices and payments into GP
  • Ensure the matching of invoices and payment is done on regular basis
  • Reconciliation of payments made to suppliers and ensure that there’s no double payment or errors in finance payment module
  • Monitor accounts of major suppliers of the company to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any issues with the suppliers
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and any other anomalies that may come up or any other complaints from suppliers
  • Provide barter & supplier statement
  • Provide payable account statement
  • Work with strict hourly and daily deadlines to ensure Payables operations are performed on a timely basis
  • Maintain appropriate filing of daily and monthly of invoices and payments
  • Provides support for Payables related audits; and ensures requests are researched and audit teams are provided with required information and responses.
  • Perform other functions as directed by your Supervisor

4. Desired Profile: Required education and experience knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance and/ or Accounting;
  • Knowledge of accounts Receivable and Payable;
  • Knowledge of office administration and Procedures;
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures;
  • Knowledge of general accounting principals;
  • Proficient in relevant computer software;
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements;
  • General accounting experience;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Organizational skills;
