Lead Grants Manager at Chemonics Nigeria

Chemonics seeks a lead grants manager for the anticipated five-year Feed the Future West Africa Trade and Investment Hub Activity funded by USAID. The activity’s purpose is to improve private sector competitiveness in West Africa. The activity will focus on increasing the agricultural productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers in Nigeria and promoting West Africa’s regional and international trade. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advise and assist in the design, development, and oversight of grants management policies, procedures, and practices
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation for staff as well as grantees
  • Analyze and evaluate grant applications, proposals, and awards
  • Ensure adherence to grants management policies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or another relevant field
  • At least five years of post-professional experience (e.g., as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
  • Demonstrated experience in effective grants management and procurement
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
