About the role

The Programme Assistant, Social Behavioural Change Communications will report to the Nutrition Officer. The role will support the implementation ofUN-WFP Food Aid Project by undertaking programme activities (community mobilization, awareness campaigns, IYCF sessions, verification, registration, distribution, monitoring and evaluation). The role also includes planning and coordination of SBCC activities and related activities such as cooking demonstrations, distributions and reporting. There is the need to have staff who is dedicated in facilitation of IYCF sessions, FGDs and other community engagements according to UN- WFP standard. The role will be based in Dikwa.  

About you

You must possess a university degree or HND in Nutrition, Nursing, Health Educatuion or in a relevant field with at least one year progressinve working experience Nutrition Programme development and management. You must demonstrate ability to work with government, NGOs, CSOs and women groups. You must have ability to conduct capacity development training and provide supportive supervision in the field of nutrition. You are required to be familiar with food security interventions in thecontext of North-East Nigeria and have experience in BSFP. Ability to communicate in Kanuri or Shuwa is an added advantage. Eligible females are strongly encouraged to apply.
