Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) is the pioneer and leader of the petroleum industry in Nigeria. It has the largest acreage in the country from which it produces some 43 per cent of the nation’s oil. The company’s operations are concentrated in the Niger Delta and adjoining shallow offshore areas where it operates in an oil mining lease area of around 31,000 square kilometers.

SPDC is currently involved in a multi-million dollar oil and gas project in the Niger Delta region with the objective of increasing production to help meet the world’s growing demand for energy.
We’re currently looking to recruit a General Practice Physician for our Port Harcourt Office.

Responsibilities:

This is a leadership role in the medical team that is responsible for delivering cost effective and curative general medical care in the hospital and the Residential area of SPDC in Port Harcourt. The position is offered on expatriate terms for a period of 3 years with possibility of renewal. The Key tasks include:
· Provision of general/medical care to SPDC staff and dependants

· 24hr/week emergency general/specialist duty care to patients

· Medical evacuation and resuscitation services

· Development of procedures and protocols for optimization of services effective for general / specialist medical care

· Provision of health education for patients, subordinates and management aimed at developing a healthy workforce

· Ensure continuous self-development through participation in internal and external training programs

· Ensure suitability, availability and serviceability of all equipment needed to deliver routine and specialist care
Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have an MBBS and 5 years post fellowship qualification in General Practice.. Additionally an ACLS as well as BLS/ /ATLS is required.

· Demonstrated ability to manage change in a specialized industry whilst maintaining professionalism

· Must be an excellent team player possessing good Leadership skills and service orientation

· Must be proficient in the use of computers

· Must be proficient in written and spoken English

· Working knowledge and strict adherence to HSE Standards and guidelines

We are currently looking for a Tax Adviser to support our operations in a number of countries in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the tax affairs of Shell operations in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde,Cote d’Ivoire,Ghana,Guinea,Senegal,Mali
- Manage the tax audits in the Region
- Adopt an active role in tax law shaping activities,
- Provide tax assurance activities related to the assigned countries
- Act as a focal point and key advisor for knowledge and expertise in the country tax legislation,common law and administrative practice
- Establish and maintain business contacts in the country and identifying advice work related to that country
- Maintain Shell’s reputation in the country,with regards to Tax and ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Advise & manage the position we take on tax matters for projects & activities in the Region
- Provide strategic,operational and functional leadership to local finance staff on tax matters – Coordinate resources and ensure proper liason with other internal Tax teams to ensure tax work is professionally managed
- Ensure full compliance with relevant financial accounting standards,including SOX 404 within area of responsibility
- Provide assurance sign-offs to the Group in accordance with the Group’s Assurance Process
- Ensure proper records maintained for tax purposes as required by law and good business practice
- Take part in projects and play active part in the Tax community where required
- Manage consultants engaged to assist on Tax projects
- Manage the necessary expenses to run the activities of the area,in order to reduce costs and achieve targets
Job Requirements:
Recognized professional qualification and member of a recognized accounting or legal professional body; Effective client/project management and task prioritization skills; Effective at establishing and utilizing external relationships and contacts; Strong negotiation skills and effective at influencing others within and outside of Tax; Ability to evaluate tax risks, balance risk with Business objectives, and make recommendations that are objective, practical, technically appropriate, and supportive of the Business; Effective team player on Tax and cross-functional/cross-sector teams. Must be able to read, speak and write French and English language.

The Logistics Department is responsible for the provision of all land, air and marine logistic support to Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN).

Responsibilities:
Implement contract strategy for operate and maintain company owned heavy and light marine vessels and provision of heavy and light marine vessels.
Manage port operations at main SPDC jetty in the East and provide required supports at jetties in other Field Logistic Bases.
Draw up and implement IntegrityAssurance plan for marine vessels and facilities in the East.
Drive compliance to marine operational procedures,work instructions and HSSE standards to meet Goal Zero target.
Identify and implement continuous improvements in area of operation
Prepare and manage anual budget for Marine operation in the East.
Requirements:
Command and Shipboard Operations’ Experience as Master Mariner Class1
Working Knowledge of both local and international marine regulations and standards.
Oil & Gas working experience of at least 8 years
Good leadership skills
High proficiency in computer applications
Analytical skills
Good journey management skills

Job Purpose:

Also, to assist other communicators in Shell to tell stories from a Group perspective as well as contribute to maintaining worldwide consistency in Shell messaging

Principal Accountabilities:

Research, write, edit and publicise speeches and talking points for senior leadership· Provide visual support material if appropriate·
Develop and maintain a global network of Shell resource personnel
Work with speakers, experts and Investor Relations in researching and drafting speeches·
Work with web team and Media Relations in publishing final versions of speeches· Crafting and editing of staff messages and notifications as well as content for internal and external channels (print and web)·
Assisting in editorial style for all written communications·
Editing internal and external publications such as Shell World Nigeria, company reports, content for calendars and diaries·
Managing appropriate contracts (printing of calendars, diaries, greeting cards etc.)

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Social Sciences or related field·
8-10 years proven experience in speechwriting for senior leaders·
Excellent oral and written communication skills (detail-oriented)·
Good word-processing, internet, powerpoint skills are essential·
Mastery of the English language·
Ability to multi-task ·
High degree of enthusiasm and interest, as well as flexibility, creativity and goal-oriented

SNEPCO is a rapidly growing company comprising a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets. We’re currently looking to recruit a Head of Offshore Air Operations to join us in Lagos.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee safe and efficient offshore helicopter services,managing a large team of aviation staff and contractors in Lagos.
Ensure sound HSSE and financial management of aviation contract;
Manage introduction of new generation helicopters,ensuring aircraft,helidecks and support facilities are maintained in full compliance with national regulations and Shell Group safety and technical standards.
Oversee and prioritise helicopter operations,striving to achieve optimal use of resources,including sharing with other oil companies where possible.
Engage with air operators,other oil companies and regulatory authorities to improve the safety of aviation in Nigeria.

Job Requirements:
Holder of Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence (Helicopters) with Instrument Rating, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a commercial pilot, including flying helicopters in support of offshore oil and gas industry.
Deep understanding of current industry best practice and international aviation safety requirements.
Experience as a training captain, flight safety officer, managment pilot or air accident investigator.
Experience of negotiating and managing contracts.
Experience as an aviation adviser or auditor.
