Maersk Recruits Engineers

MITAS Engineers - Denmark

Maersk Drilling is looking for 10 newly graduated engineers to join our international 2-year management program, Maersk International Technology and Science (MITAS) in September 2009.

Please note that only 3 positions need to be filled for the 2009 batch.
These positions are:


Naval Architect

Electrical Engineer (high power, control systems or mechatronics)

Mechanical Engineer

Gain hands-on experience
During the programme you will be employed in Maersk Drilling. You will be challenged in three different technical positions, gaining hands-on experience with the support of experienced colleagues. We will dedicate the attention, time and money necessary to bringing you into our world as quickly as possible.

When you start you will be assigned to an ongoing project. Working in a team of experienced engineers, you will be exposed to our approach to planning, definition, design, negotiations and project execution. You could be responsible for planning and executing upgrade projects on an existing unit, performing inspection or trouble-shooting on rigs in operation or travelling to yard locations to inspect ongoing construction work.

We expect you to question our methods, applying your commitment and knowledge to our continued development of industry-leading engineering solutions.

The right learning at the right time
You will alternate between job and advanced theory training modules. These theory modules include subjects such as project management, process management, operations management, strategic thinking, entrepreneurship, risk management, economics, commercial understanding, communication, business ethics and law.

Your educational background:

Maersk Drilling/Maersk FPSOs are primarily looking for engineers within the following disciplines:


Mechanical/Structural engineering

Naval architecture

Electrical engineering and

Process engineering (Filled)

Successful completion of the programme will ensure you a challenging and responsible position as well as giving you the foundation to become a technical leader in Maersk Drilling or in any other business unit in A.P. Moller-Maersk. We cannot guarantee you a management position. That depends on how well you perform and which work area you choose to pursue. What we can guarantee is many challenging and varied opportunities.
