USAID/West Africa: Health Program Specialist,

USAD/West Africa is looking for a highly motivated and qualified
Ghanaian for the position of Health Program Specialist. The position is located in the Regional Health Office of USAID/West Africa. The incumbent provides technical advice, management and administrative support to projects and programs in the portfolio which involve a wide range of technical areas such as maternal/child health, nutrition, infectious diseases, and malaria.

Education & Prior Work Experience: A Master’s Degree in public health, medicine, nursing, or similar discipline is required. Formal training and experience in nutrition, maternal/child health (MCH) infectious disease management or related discipline is highly desirable. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the implementation of nutrition, MCH, infectious disease programs, and/or health systems strengthening is required.
Skills and abilities: Skill in conceptualizing programs, policies and plans and developing strategies for their management and implementation, including financial and human resources. Candidate must be proficient in French with the ability to speak fluently and read technical documents in French. Must have excellent English writing and oral communication skills.
Salary Range: GH¢ 18,170 – 27,260 p.a. (depending on qualification and experience )
