Our client is a global player in the pharmaceutical sector. In a means to successfully complete an upcoming project, they currently need a Project Manager.

Job Description:
Responsible for overall planning, organizing and directing project activities to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed budget and time frames. The project manager leads the change management process, acquires resources, assigns work and monitors progress, leads and motivates team members, manages project issues and risks and ensures appropriate communication among team members and with key stakeholders.

Job Functions:
• Define the project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Manage changes to these over the project life cycle
• Plan and organize the project. Develop budget. Ensuring project plans with key steps/tasks with timelines are in place during different phases of roll-outs within each country. Updating and tracking the project plans
• Recruit or assign project personnel, including internal and external resources, such as third-party consultants and services vendors. Assign roles, responsibilities and scope of authority. Lead, motivate, coach and guide project team members. Resolve conflicts.
• Direct and coordinate team member activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Monitor progress against plan. Manage and resolve issues. Monitor spending. Develop quality assurance plans and ensure effective testing.
• Assess and manage project risks. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and external regulations.
• Liase with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Communicate project status, address business issues and concerns, and ensure business goals are met.
• Weekly/monthly (or as needed) update to the team on the progress of the project
• Co-ordinating the conf-calls and meeting within and outside the group, circulating the pre-reads/agenda, documenting the minutes and follow up on the minutes
• In liaison with GEM Communication, responsible for building and maintaining communication across the team and with external stakeholders
• Keeping track of important and useful information gathered through internal/external sources and presenting it to group.
• Build the information data bank for the team which will serve as the knowledge sharing resource for the team and senior management and will be used in different phases of the project.
• Collection of information through various resources as and when needed. Analysing the information and presenting the insights to the team for possible opportunities/risks assessment and making the relevant analysis and management reports
• Preparing power point presentations, analysis reports, other project documents
• Building a knowledge sharing portal and a document management database (similar to share point) where all information and data will be maintained (PowerPoint presentations, word/pdf reports, project plans etc)
• Maintaining confidentiality/information security for the important information in the group.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5+ years working in a reputable management consulting firm.
• University degree in Science and/or MBA (Marketing/Business Studies)
• Sales or Marketing experience in Africa
• Experience in project management with exposure to change excellence
• Flexible attitude to manage diversity of stakeholders and ability to build rapport with ease
• Ability to learn and adapt to multicultural settings
• Passion for developing the healthcare access in emerging markets
