Job Vacancy For Management Accountant At AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Malaria Control Limited (Obuasi)
Reports Directly To: Finance Manager
Purpose:
To provide co-ordination and supervision of the budget and reporting section of the finance department of AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Limited
Duties:
• Co-ordinates and supervises the preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management
• Prepares executive summaries and financial commentaries
• Co-ordinates and supervises payroll activities
• Conducts financial analysis of budget and expenditure of company for management decisions
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget
• Maintains and controls fixed assets register
• Co-ordinates all internal and external audits issues
• Maintains general ledger in SUN SYSTEM
• Monitors accruals/provisions and prepayments
• Supervises and reviews data entry into software
• Passes accounting adjustments – inventory changes
• Calculates depreciations
• Co-ordinates and supervises the preparation of returns to Local Fund Agents (LFA)
Qualification Required & Experience
Competencies
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Chartered Accountant with a reputable professional accountancy body e.g. CA, ACCA and CIMA
Technical:
• Advanced knowledge in Not-for-Profit accounting or donor funded project
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
Managerial:
• Ability to plan, co-ordinate and execute work plans under pressure
• Ability to enhance teamwork and co-operation among team members
• Ability to design and implement control systems and take corrective actions in a timely manner
