Our Client, a diversified manufacturing group that has been operating in Nigeria for over 40 years seeks to recruit Shift Quality Control Engineer:

Location: AWAIL Agbara
1.0 Primary Job responsibility:Work with production engineer to ensure that the Quality norms are followed
1.1 Job Description
- Check the dimensions of Slit coils, tubes and purlins using micrometer and Vernier calipers and meter tapes
- Put on hold products which do not meet the specifications
- Audit measurement of weight of products for their conformance to standards
- Report results to the Quality in-charge for further actions like re work, reject
- Ensure that the correct tags are put on the products being manufactured
- Plan for the necessary tools and devices so that the above job can be performed satisfactorily
- Understand the tags put on the products like HR coils & CR coils
1.2 Qualifications& Experience
- A Diploma / Engineer with a science back ground who has worked in a metal forming industry like Tubes, Purlin, Cable tray for a minimum period of 2 years
- Must be able to understand the measuring instruments for errors, calibration, least count
- Hands on experience is essential
- Must be able to read quality standards
