Assistant Food & Beverage Manager At Ghana HR Solutions

Our Client, a reputable 3 star hotel is looking to hire a competent and proactive Assistant Foods and Beverages Manager to help with their operations.

ROLE PROFILE

Will be responsible for managing the day to day foods and beverages operations of the hotel, providing leadership and guidance to all team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the planning and management of the foods and beverages operations of the hotel
  • Resolve customer complaints appropriately to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Ensure the food and beverage operations are properly staffed with trained competent individuals
  • Ensure all kitchens and eating areas are kept organised and maintain a high level of cleanliness
  • Responsible for food hygiene, and health and safety issues, manage maintenance and safety issues to completion
  • Ensure kitchen, restaurant, and bar operations are opened and closed according to policy
  • Ensure waste/breakages is minimized and properly recorded
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of dining rooms and work areas; communicate issues of safety, cleanliness or malfunctions to appropriate departments
  • Plan and conduct meetings for outlets on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that food and beverage staff documents, attendance forms are up to date and forwarded to the HR department

 

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION

  • Degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management or relevant Professional qualification

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ plus experience in foods and beverages, two of which should be from a similar role

  • Highly motivated and extremely proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to take on responsibilities.
  • High sense of urgency, the ability to develop action plans and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with customers of a range of nationalities
  • Has an ownership attitude and takes a positive approach to solving problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to manage and coordinate with a large team
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Have a flare for numbers, willing to work longer hours when required.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • A highly motivated self-starter
  • Good background in the use of IT systems
  • Great coordination skills; able to multi-task, manage projects
  • Must possess a good business acumen and be able to take initiatives
  • Must be able to recommend ways of reducing costs and pursing debts
  • An effective delegator and staff developer.
