Interswitch Financial Inclusion Services Limited (IFIS), is a newly established subsidiary joint venture between Beyond Branches, Growing Businesses Capital and Interswitch Limited. The Company was established to ensure increased agent activity in the delivery of financial and related value adding services outside the traditional channels, through additional financial access points within Nigeria and across Africa.

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Head, Service Delivery, the successful candidate will design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure IFIS’s infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements with 100% uptime.
  • A key function will be to design, code, test, analyse and manage software programs and applications that drive the IFIS’s strategy, product owners and third-party business.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Advice and informs management, departments and unit members on technical issues as part of the decision making process for technical direction and procurement of new systems.
  • Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
  • Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the integrity of IFIS’s electronically held information by performing regular reviews and testing of the back-up systems, disaster recovery planning and input into the Business Continuity plan where appropriate.
  • Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
  • Develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Provide inputs to Business continuity and disaster recovery plans with respect to infrastructural implications.
  • Analyse research findings and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, etc.
  • Oversee the database platforms upon which applications are deployed in order to service customers effectively.
  • Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
  • Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
  • Provide reliable, scalable and cost-effective cloud computing resources upon which the rest of the organisation can buy/rent and host applications.

Key Requirements

  • A good first degree or its equivalent in Computer / System / Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Science or other related disciplines.
  • Possession of a master’s degree or an MBA will be an advantage.
  • Relevant certification(s) such as ITIL, CCNP, MCP, CCNA, MCTS, OCA, OCP, OSCA, OSCP.
  • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of Postilion and all its applications
  • Strong software development skills
  • Research, Object oriented programming skills.
  • Strong software and hardware management skills.
