Sacopan, Inc. manufactures and supplies interior door components in Canada. It provides wood composite molded door facings, stamped boards, and decorative moulded fibre board door skins. The company was founded in 1999 and is based in Sacré-Cœur, Canada. As of December 9, 2002, Sacopan, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Masonite International, Inc.

Responsibilities: 

General Job Purpose: 

Responsible for managing all aspects of the plant operations (production, safety, quality, engineering & maintenance, shipping, receiving, customer service, purchasing, administrative and cost management). 

Ensure that all reports are hold accountable for their work but are treated in a fairly and consistently as required by the blueprint. Consistently improve the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines through the deployment of Lean Six Sigma. 

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

    • Oversees and manages the planning and allocation of production resources to accomplish the plants goals, including preparation of short and long term production goals, delivery deadlines and asset utilization.
    • Drive improvements in plant operations, manufacturing processes and procedures leading to productivity and efficiency gains.
    • Provide leadership for internal and external customers. Raise employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development and problem resolution in a way that supports the Blueprint.
    • Provide direction, development and leadership to leaders and manage overall employee performance issues and systems.
    • Help to deploy Lean
      Manufacturing techniques in the area of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time deliveries, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
    • Ensure total manufacturing objectives are meet or exceed
    • Manage all business to meet quarterly and annual profit and operating goals and all human, financial and capital resources of the plant.
    • Develop detailed operating budgets for each fiscal year and assure adherence to the operating budget.

Qualifications: BA or BS Degree preferably in engineering, operations management or business.

    • Fully bilingual (English / French)
    • 6+ years of experience in similar function. (Must have prior manufacturing experience preferably with building products as well as extensive financial experience in operations, P&L, and cost accounting. )
    • Require significant manufacturing knowledge as well as advanced interpersonal and manager skills.
    • Six Sigma or Lean GB certification highly desired or ability to attain within 1 year
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities
    • Microsoft office programs including MS-Excel, MS Word, and MS Power-Point, MS Access or comparable programs.
