British Council Recruits Adult Programme Managers -Middle east

 The British Council teaching centres in Egypt are looking to recruit two Adult Programme Managers to work in Cairo.

Essential Requirements:

  • Post only open to UK or Egyptian passport holders.
  • First degree
  • TEFL Q qualification (DELTA or Trinity Diploma inTESOL)
  • Full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module
  • At least 4 years full time post-certificate (i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert)TESOL experience
  • Academic Management – Proven ability to manage or contribute to and develop pedagogic activities such as syllabus design, teacher timetabling, class scheduling, course planning.
  • Proven ability of undertaking teacher observations, teacher training, line management and / or professional development of teachers and support staff.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Recognised YL teaching qualification e.g. PGCE/B.Ed in Primary or relevant subject
  • TYLEC or YL Extension to CELTA
  •  Experience of teaching and/or examining IELTS candidates
