British Council Recruits Skills Hub Manager – Ghana

  Purpose of job:
To provide input to the business development and manage the delivery of products and projects under the British Council Ghana’s skills hub to meet the British Council’s objectives and targets with respect to project outcomes, quality of delivery, income and customer satisfaction.

Specific responsibilities will include:

1. Delivery of projects and products: Accountable for successful delivery of Skills Hub projects and products to include resource and budget monitoring etc.
a)     Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to output and financial targets
i)       helping with the scheduling and resourcing of projects, and training courses
ii)      implementing the monitoring and evaluation of the projects
iii)     budget monitoring for projects, products and services
iv)    Delivery of operational guide for training pathways
v)     Operationalizing the Skills Hub  on-line Portal

2. Input into marketing and product development
a) input into the marketing and promotion of courses and Skills Hub products
b) input into the development of relevant products and services, and the improvement of existing products and services in line with market research and analysis
c) knowledge of British Council on-line and face-to-face products
d) gathering market intelligence to inform effective business decision-making

3. Monitoring and evaluation
a) Effective information gathering for quality assurance and understanding of customer satisfaction
b) Evaluation of projects during implementation and at completion using given tools
c) Continuing evaluation of impact of activities and projects
d) Update of Scorecard figures on SAP

4. Staff Management:  Responsible for the effective management of Facilitators, Project Assistants, Project Coordinators, and support any individuals and teams involved in delivering outcomes

Special requirements for the job
Some evening and weekend work is required

Skills and Qualifications
Three year’s work experience as a Project manager
Knowledge of business development and financial management
Knowledge of the education and training sector systems in Ghana
