BBC Media Action,we use all kinds of media and communication from mass media to face-to-face outreach as well as training and capacity building to tackle poverty and support long-term change in some of the poorest places in the world. The aim is to empower vulnerable and marginalised people to make informed choices and take action to make a lasting positive difference to their own lives. We have special expertise in working in fragile and conflict-affected societies where political, security or other factors mean that media is one of the few options available to reach and engage marginalised groups.
