Position : Student Recruitment Manager – New STEM Campus
Description :

Academic City is expanding its vision from its current compact city campus to a new state-of-the-art 12-acre college campus, at Haatso in Accra, Ghana. This campus will focus on STEM education and is expected to be launched in the fall of 2018.

This campus will be comparable to campuses in the US and UK, delivering high quality tertiary education through premium calibre of teaching and administrative talent, supplemented with quality infrastructure and facilities, including an innovation district/venture incubator, high tech laboratories, and a modern-design engineering workshop.

We aim to provide STEM education within a liberal arts spirit of learning, with an emphasis on soft skills, practical learning and ethical values, to supplement hard skill training. Our goal is to educate future-ready leaders who can analytically solve complex problems while creating an ethical, entrepreneurial and collaborative problem-solving environment.
The candidate shall have the following roles and responsibilities:
Report to Director of Admissions and Financial Aid
Drive the planning and execution of student recruitment initiatives with a focus on lead generation and conversion e.g. high school campaigning, setting up campus tours, etc.
Drive the planning and execution of promotional activities and events to engage prospective students and other stakeholders such as parents, to create awareness and generate interest, e.g. on-campus boot camp for senior high school students, etc.
Build and maintain relationships with external resources such as target high schools to create continuous pipeline of high quality students
Manage recruitment data to evaluate trends and performance against established KPIs and targets
Manage digital marketing for student recruitment and develop student-focused marketing / PR strategies
Support faculty teams in planning for department / program specific student recruitment
Coordinate the annual cycle of student recruitment initiatives and activities
Develop promotional and recruitment materials e.g. writing copy for marketing materials, etc.
Responsible for continuously identifying and realizing new and innovative recruitment means and sources
Support Director of Admissions in enrolment and financial aid processes, where necessary
Experience :
6 to 8 years of experience in student recruitment, with at least 3-4 years focused on student recruitment in tertiary education in Ghana
Strong experience in generating recruitment leads and driving conversion
Strong understanding of education institutions and systems in Ghana
Experienced in student admission and financial aid processes
Must have a firm understanding of how premium education is evolving to meet the needs of students
Based in Accra, Ghana or willing to relocate to Accra
Genuinely passionate about promoting the spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship amongst students, Emphasizing soft skills and ethical values to build well-rounded students and Focusing on hands-on and experiential training, to supplement the theory and hard skills, allowing students to practically apply their learning
Qualification : Preferably a Post-Graduate degree in business or related fields with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Remuneration : Competitive as per industry standards
