Job Role Summary
As an experienced hire engineer you will be involved in providing daily technical support as part of a team working on various engineering projects, which include petroleum refinery fixed equipment pressure vessel design and analysis, piping flexibility analysis, heat exchanger technical support, fitness for service assessments, and operational problem-solving.
Expected Level of Proficiency
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher
- 3 – 8 years prior practical experience of technical work in Mechanical Engineering in the petrochemical industry is preferred
- Passionate to be an engineer and show strong technical attributes e.g. attention to detail, highly organized, good math/analytical skills and practical use of the physics and chemistry principles
- Downstream petrochemical work experience at a manufacturing site in a mechanical/maintenance engineer or inspection engineer role
- Demonstrated experience in applying mechanical engineering principles to plant integrity management, equipment inspection, troubleshooting/failure analysis and risk assessment, repair specification, equipment purchasing
- Experience in at least one of the following areas :
- Piping and valves
- Pressure vessels
- Strong working knowledge of industry design, and analysis standards and tools for mechanical analysis.
